Back Then
Since I was a kid in the 70s, video games have been a constant source of joy and fascination. I still vividly recall the excitement of playing Pong on my family’s television and the countless hours spent mastering classics like Pac-Man, Super Mario, and The Legend of Zelda. Video games were more than just entertainment; they were a doorway to worlds of imagination and adventure.
As the years passed, my love for video games never waned. I witnessed the industry evolve from pixelated 2D adventures to immersive 3D worlds. Each innovation and console brought new experiences and challenges, and I enthusiastically embraced them.
The first chance I got, I began to create text-based adventure (with graphics) games on an 8088 with a monochrome display. Unfortunately, as life does, it had other plans for me, and I went in many different directions.
In The Now
Now, in my early fifties, I’ve decided to take my passion to the next level. I’m embarking on a new adventure as an indie game developer. It’s a dream I’ve nurtured for a long time, and the time feels right to turn that dream into a reality. Armed with a head full of ideas and a heart full of dedication, I’m diving headfirst into the world of game development.
Creating video games is a way for me to give back to the medium that has given me so much joy throughout my life. It’s a way to contribute my unique vision and stories to the gaming community. I may not be a professional developer, but I’m excited to learn, experiment, and collaborate with others who share this passion.
